Mission: St. Alban's is dedicated to the guidance and education of children in an environment which develops the WHOLE child - academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually - in a manner conducive to learning so they can discover and develop their unique gifts and talents in a way which serves others and gives glory and honor to Almighty God.

History: Founded in 1948 – Celebrating over 60 years of excellence in education!

Location: 5-acre suburban campus in the heart of Harlingen with exceptional facilities. Students commute from all areas of the lower Rio Grande Valley including La Feria, Raymondville, Rancho Viejo and Brownsville.

Faculty/Staff: 29 Faculty Members (20 Full Time and 9 Part Time) and 13 paraprofessional staff; Grades Pre-Kinder – 6th Grade Faculty are required to be degreed or certified; 100% of Toddler – 3K Faculty are designated C.D.A. (Child Development Associate) or degreed; Average of over 13 years experience among classroom teachers; 35% have 20 years or more experience; Faculty/Paraprofessional in every pre-school class through kinder.

Program and Curriculum: Preschool: Center-Based Learning includes themes which are based on children's interests, past experiences and developmental levels. Grades K-6: SRA McGraw Hill "Everyday Mathematics"; Harcourt Reading and Science; Shurley Language; Handwriting without Tears; McGraw Hill Social Studies; Co-Curricular Activities include PE; Art; Music; Technology; Religion and Spanish. Chapel services 4 days per week for all grade levels.

Special Programs: Co-Curricular Classes; Accelerated Reader; Participation in P.S.I.A. (Private School Interscholastic Association); VISA League (Valley Independent Schools Association); Boys and Girls Club Athletic Programs; Before and After School Extended Care licensed by Texas Dept. of Family and Protective Services. Financial Assistance is available – inquire in school office.

Accreditations: S.A.E.S. (Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools) since 1988.
